| The Boundary of God's Love
For 2000 years, since the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus - who is The Christ, religious leaders from all of the tens of thousands of the world's religions have sought to define God's Love and locate it's boundaries. Many of them have spent their entire life seeking these answers.
Many have sought the answer through strict adherence to rule of law. Some have attempted deep spiritual meditation, hoping to find the answer and therefore obtain true inner peace. Others make pilgrimages to historic places of their ancestors looking for their connection with the supernatural and ultimate rest.
Debates have been many, and answers have been fleeting, eluding even the most religious in the masses.
Wars have been fought, and are indeed still being fought, that directly have their origins within the question..."Does God really Love me, does He really Love those around me, does He Love those of different skin color, different ethnic origin, and different cultures, and what are the boundaries of His Love?"
Looking at the question in human terms, it would seem that there must be some boundary of even God's Love for His sons and daughters, however:
David, the adulterer, found no such boundary;
Peter, the liar that repeatedly denied he even knew The Lord, didn't locate it;
Abraham, who failed to wait and trust in God's Promise, never saw it;
Jonah, who ran in the opposite direction of his instructions, found no fence;
Today, I see myself in each of the sins of these men, and yet... I am free. There is no condemnation. No curse. There is only peace. Only rest...resting in Him, trusting fully in Christ Jesus and Him alone. Free!
The last sentence of this message is of critical, even paramount importance. Why? Because it clearly and completely defines the answer to the age old question, "What are the boundaries of God's Love?"
There aren't any!
