The Bible tells us that God created mankind, and that we were created to have fellowship with God. God loves all men, but he has given man the right to choose whether or not to love Him in return. When mankind decided long ago to turn away from God and went its own independent way, fellowship with God was broken. This attitude of active rebellion and indifference by man towards God is evidence of what the Bible calls sin.

Today, man is still pursuing his own willful way. We are still out of fellowship with God, and we continue to willfully disobey God and his laws. That is sin.
