Heaven or Hell?

Our Message...

Now huge crowds were going along with Jesus and He turned and said to them, If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother in the sense of indifference to or relative disregard for them in comparison with his attitude toward God and likewise his wife and children and brothers and sisters - yes and even his own life also - he cannot be My disciple. Luke 14:25-26

What if I give my life, what if I give it all? What would happen?

How would God respond? Can I really do this?

In Luke 18:18-27 Jesus has a conversation with a young man regarding life's most important single question; what must I do to have eternal life? Again and again from Genesis to Revelation Jesus makes it abundantly clear that nothing less than a complete surrender to Him is acceptable. And once again Jesus clearly teaches this young man you must give all. You must lay down whatever would stand between you and Him in your life. In the instance of this young man it was his wealth. He was very wealthy. Foolishly he chose to hold onto what he could not possibly keep, and missed the true wealth that Jesus offered to him which he could not lose, if only he would 'give it all'. He was deceived into believing that the price was too great, but now and for all time his wealth that he sought to hold is gone and the riches of God, which are eternal, he missed.

You see in Luke 18:29-30 Jesus says that for those that will 'give it all' that 'they will receive in return many times more in this world and in the coming age, eternal life'.

Think of it, this rich young influential man was so close, but ultimately so far away. All he had to do was surrender. 'give it all' but fear, fear of loss kept him from the one that knew him best and loved him most.

Jesus came to give you abundant life, above and beyond what you are able to ask for or comprehend. Don't draw back from Him in fear. He died to give you life. No one took His Life, He gave it for you. Seek with your whole heart to give yourself to Him. Cling to Him, trust in Him, adhere to Him and you will not be disappointed. He will never cast you aside or turn away from you... NEVER!

What if you give it all? Your Savior waits and desperately wants you to turn to Him in faith and do just that 'give it all'. If you give it all, then so will He. In return for your faith in Jesus you will get everything that pertains to Righteousness and Godliness. You become a Joint Heir with Jesus Himself!

Can you do it? YES! Today have been set before you, issues, issues of life and death - choose life. Nothing else matters. Only you and God. What will you do? GIVE IT ALL!!!

KLTJ,
Dennis
